Colin MacDonald's "A Dictionary of Canadian Artists" is the most extensively researched biographical reference material ever published on the subject of Canadian artists of the 20th century and is a perfect bridge between the artists and fine art collectors. This series of books, offering over 5,000 biographies, comes well recommended for those who choose to expand their knowledge about the artists that they collect.
Published each month in Maine Antiques Digest is a very interesting column by Hollie Davis and Andrew Richmond called "The Young Collector." Hollie and Andrew are a thirtysomething married couple living in Ohio and working in the trade. Their column is dedicated to introducing young people to the fascinating realm of fine art, antiques and collectibles in a manner that you'll find refreshingly sensible, quite informative and lastly, someone is finally thinking 'outside' the proverbial 'blanket box.'
